AgroExpedition in Kyrgyzstan was organized by farmer Abdiraimov Pardavai Nazyrovich (+996 770 000 102).
We express our gratitude to the friendly and close-knit employees of the Microcredit Company "Bailyk Finance" for supporting AgroExpedition.

PIONERPRODUKT.by continues to publish videos from the AgroExpedition "Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan". In this video, we will visit the market and talk with sellers.

The market is located in the town of Razzakov (Isfana), Batken region. All carpets are made from natural sheep wool or cotton. Carpets can be divided into two main groups: natural color and dyed wool, the former is more expensive because it does not fade for centuries.

Dry paint, which is imported mainly from India, is placed in a vat of boiling water, after which wool is added there, where it is boiled.

Carpets are 4 x 2.5 meters and cost about 35,000 soms. Carpet making is labor-intensive, manual work, which takes about 15 days.

By the way, with the departure of the Soviet era, carpets also left the everyday life of the inhabitants of most countries of the former USSR, but in Kyrgyzstan, the fashion for carpets is only gaining momentum. There are new patterns, new productions, new outlets. Many indigenous people try to ensure that at least one room in the house, and even in the apartment, is furnished in the national style, which means with carpets.

The market also sells baby cradles made using traditional technology from juniper and accessories for them.

The traditional Kyrgyz chapan (caftan that men and women wear over clothes) is made of cotton and has good thermal insulation properties - ideal clothing in the harsh continental climate of Central Asia, where temperatures can range from +40 to -30 degrees Celsius.

After visiting the market, we visited a mine in the city of Sulukta, which is one of the largest centers of the coal industry in Kyrgyzstan.
In Sulukta we were introduced to the traditional room of a Kyrgyz family.

First of all, our attention was drawn to the wooden ceiling with carved ornaments in the national style, which makes the house immediately feel like home. In addition to the aesthetic function, the wooden ceiling also has a purely practical meaning - air microcirculation, which allows the room to "breathe".

In general, everything in Kyrgyzstan is very symbolic, for example, from the traditional clothes of a woman, you can find out all the necessary information about her and her family, as far as it is allowed in Islamic society.
