In the Tambov region, work is in full swing on the preparation of fodder for the livestock industry for the upcoming winter stall period.
To date, agricultural enterprises and peasant farms of the region have harvested more than 140 thousand tons of roughage (hay, haylage and straw), which is 151% of the need and exceeds the level of last year's procurement.
25% more than necessary, succulent feed was harvested - 185 thousand tons (101% compared to 2021).
More than 96 thousand tons of concentrated feed for cattle (136% of the need) has been procured.
Forage harvesting continues.
Agricultural experts note that the volume of prepared fodder allows the livestock farms of the region to fully meet the needs of livestock with fodder for the winter-stall period of 2022-2023, as well as effectively solve the tasks of implementing the livestock production program.
Tambov agricultural enterprises sell the surplus of prepared fodder to livestock breeders from other regions.
