In the lobby of polyclinic No. 2 in the city of Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo Region, places for the sale of products were rented out. Local residents drew attention to this: for example, a user named Olga published a complaint on the Kuzbass Online portal for communication between local residents and the authorities. She attached a photo to the message, which shows a window with sausage.

“I consider this unacceptable and violating sanitary standards!” the resident said.

The portal administrator clarified that we are talking about polyclinic No. 2 on Builders Avenue. “In the “red zone” of the polyclinic, only medical care is provided to the population. The MEAT products department and the hairdresser are outside the “red zone,” the message emphasizes. The administrator assured that the store and the hairdresser had all the permissions to operate, and noted that during the active spread of the CORONAVIRUS, the work of the meat products department was suspended, and resumed in December 2022. The hairdressing salon is located in the opposite wing from the “red zone”, it has a separate entrance, and now the lease agreement has expired and the tenant has moved out.

The Ministry of HEALTH of Kuzbass confirmed that now the trade in the lobby at the reception desk in the clinic has been stopped. The department will conduct unscheduled inspections of all medical institutions in the region. “The current situation is unacceptable. It has been reviewed in detail, and measures will be taken to prevent similar situations in the future in medical organizations, the main task of which is to provide medical care to the population," the Ministry of Health told TASS.
