Kaspersky did not rule out new US sanctions against the company

The United States may introduce new sanctions against Kaspersky Lab. This was stated by the CEO and co-founder of the company Evgeny Kaspersky in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"May be. Yes, this is how the world works now,” Kaspersky said in response to a question whether the United States could introduce new sanctions against Kaspersky Lab. He noted that in the future the situation will remain the same or worsen.

“Looking at the current picture, I see no reason to expect things to get better. The situation is not good,” the head of the company added.

In September 2017, the US Department of Homeland Security temporarily banned US government agencies from using antivirus software from Kaspersky Lab. According to the department, the company's products pose a threat to US security, as they can be used by Russian intelligence services to access government data.

Kaspersky Lab has repeatedly denied the accusations of the US authorities and claimed that the company has no political ties with any state in the world. In 2018, the company tried to get the ban lifted through the courts, but the lawsuit was dismissed. On September 10, 2019, Washington announced an indefinite ban on the use of the laboratory's products in the public sector.
