Kadyrov accused the UK of hypocrisy after sanctions against his mother.

Kadyrov called the UK's decision to impose sanctions against his mother, Aimani, absurd . According to the Chechen leader, the sanctions will not affect Aimani Kadyrov's family or their activities.

London "has once again demonstrated the absurdity and hypocrisy of its policies," Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said on TELEGRAM after Britain imposed sanctions on his mother, Aimani.

London added Kadyrov's mother to the sanctions list, saying she was an "engaged person" because she "is or was involved in the destabilization of Ukraine" by supporting "the Russian government's program for the military-patriotic re-education of Ukrainian children" as president of the Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation.

According to the HEAD of Chechnya, his mother leads a "quiet and calm life away from politics," has never fought, has never held a weapon, and has "devoted her life to good deeds."

"These sanctions mean nothing to us. They cannot deprive us of our faith and commitment to the ideals of goodness and justice. We have lived and will continue to live as our fathers taught us, and we will always help those in need," Kadyrov wrote, declaring that "history is already putting everything in its place."

In addition to Kadyrov's mother, the Regional Public Foundation named after Hero of RUSSIA Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, which she heads, and the commander of the special police regiment named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, Zamid Chalayev, were also subject to sanctions.

The head of Chechnya called Chalayev "one of the most devoted sons of his people and a defender of the peace of citizens" and emphasized that sanctions against him demonstrate "fear of strong and principled people."

The assets of individuals targeted by restrictions are subject to freezing in the UK. Those included in the list are also banned from entering the country.

"These restrictions will remain mere pieces of paper that will turn to dust and will only apply to the West, where we have never had and never will have any assets," Kadyrov emphasized.

A total of 11 individuals and entities were included in the sanctions list, including Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva, DIRECTOR of the Federal Youth Center Valery Mayorov, the all-Russian public-governmental movement "Movement of the First," and others. Moscow considers the sanctions illegal and demands their lifting.

Aymani Kadyrova has been under EU sanctions since June 2024. Kadyrov linked his mother's inclusion on the sanctions list to her active support for the military operation and called it a "gift."

Kadyrov's mother's awards include the Order of Honor "for active public service," the Order of Friendship of the DPR, and the Order of Merit for the Kherson Oblast, 1st Class. The foundation headed by Kadyrova regularly sends humanitarian aid to the war zone.
