Marina Patyashina, head of the Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan, said today that a nasal vaccine against coronavirus infection will be used in the republic. It will be administered using special nasal nozzles by injection into the nose.

Today, at a government meeting, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to strengthen work in the region on the formation of collective immunity to COVID-19 .

“In a week, the incidence increased by 29%. Many have passed the next period of vaccination against COVID-19. The Ministry of Health needs to step up work to strengthen herd immunity. Moreover, the school year is approaching,” he said.

As of August 12, according to the headquarters, collective immunity in the Republic of Tatarstan was 3.9%. 2,567,782 people were vaccinated with the first component, 2,482,548 residents of the region received a full course of vaccination.

On April 1, it became known that the Russian Ministry of Health had registered the world's first nasal coronavirus vaccine, Gam-COVID-Vak (Sputnik V). It was reported that only adults could be vaccinated with it. You will need to receive 2 doses of the drug with an interval of 21 days.
