RT called the investigation of the German regulator unreasonable

The claims of the German media regulator against RT are unfounded, since they are brought not to the RT DE channel, which broadcasts from Moscow, but to the RT DE Productions company, which produces content for the channel. This was announced to RBC by RT Deputy Editor-in-Chief Anna Belkina.

Earlier, the head of the German media regulator, Eva Flecken, announced the launch of an investigation against the RT television channel on suspicion of violating broadcasting rules in Germany.

“The lawsuit was filed not with RT DE, which broadcasts from Moscow, but with RT DE Productions, which produces several programs for the RT DE channel, but does not broadcast in principle. That is why the claim is completely unfounded and even absurd, ”said Belkina.

At the same time, according to her, RT DE has the appropriate licenses obtained in accordance with German laws. “The RT DE TV channel has all the rights to broadcast in Germany and other 32 European countries. The broadcasting license was obtained in accordance with all applicable European laws and regulations, including the European Convention on Transfrontier Television, ”the deputy head of RT explained.
