Now more than 290 thousand beds have been deployed in RUSSIA for patients with covid-19. The chief freelance infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of HEALTH called this a record since the beginning of the pandemic. Previously, some regions reported a lack of vacant places in hospitals.

More than 290 thousand beds for patients with CORONAVIRUS infection have been deployed in Russia. This was announced in an interview with Izvestia by the chief freelance infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health Vladimir Chulanov.

He called this number of beds a record. During the previous peak of the incidence, a maximum of 270 thousand beds were used.

According to Chulanov, the reserve of free beds has decreased, because "now there are much more hospitalized than before."

At the same time, the infectious disease specialist added that in 13 regions there is a slight decrease in the incidence.
