The Novosibirsk Ministry of Education has named the number of schools that will open in 2022

This year, it is planned to open nine schools for 8.8 thousand students and three kindergartens, each with 450 places, in the Novosibirsk Region. About this and.about. Yury Savostyanov, Minister of Education of the Novosibirsk Region, told TASS.

According to the official, eight schools are planned to be opened in Novosibirsk due to a shortage of study places. Another school will open in the village of Voskhod near the regional center.

In January 2022, the mayor of Novosibirsk, Anatoly Lokot, said that this year the construction of 10 schools will begin in the city, of which six will be built as part of a public-private partnership for 5.7 thousand places.

“The problem of shortage of school places exists. The number of school-age children in Novosibirsk increases by 6-7 thousand every year. This year, the number of schoolchildren has reached almost 201,000, and according to forecasts, such growth rates will continue for the next 5 years,” the head of the city said.
