The Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Health warned about a new strain of COVID-19

The HEAD of the Ministry of HEALTH of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, David Melik-Guseinov, on his page on the social network drew attention to the situation in South Africa, where a new strain of CORONAVIRUS was recorded. 

"The country has a low level of vaccination. Collective immunity is no more than 27%. An outbreak of the disease is starting," Melik-Huseinov commented on the situation.

The Minister of Health noted that a new variant of the virus has probably appeared, which has absorbed the largest number of mutations, making it potentially the most dangerous of all the variants known to us. 

David Melik-Guseinov once again urged Nizhny Novgorod residents to get vaccinated and wear masks.
