The number of hospitalizations of patients with COVID-19 in Moscow decreased by 30% over the week, Deputy Mayor of the capital Anastasia Rakova told reporters.

The situation with the spread of infection in Moscow is gradually stabilizing, doctors are seeing a decrease in the incidence among children and adolescents.

“The number of cases is almost five times less than the peak values ​​​​of late January - early February. At the same time, the number of hospitalizations of patients with COVID-19 decreased by 30% over the week,” Rakova said.

This will allow some of the hospitals temporarily converted into covid hospitals to return to planned work. According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, they will begin to provide planned assistance two weeks after special sanitation and testing of employees for COVID-19. Also in the near future, after disinfection, several CT centers will start accepting patients as usual.

The capital's polyclinics continue to work in an enhanced mode, but the provision of planned care in them is gradually being restored, Rakova noted.
