Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, head of the city health department Vladimir Zhavoronkov said that a tense epidemiological situation regarding the incidence of COVID-19 remains in Kazan . According to him, 2,211 beds have been deployed in temporary infectious diseases hospitals of the city. The share of free places on Monday morning is about 15% of the bed fund. 

“Currently, the campaign to vaccinate the population against COVID-19 and influenza is ongoing. The population of Kazan over 18 years old is more than 977 thousand people. The vaccination plan for today is over 781 thousand people (54.4%). 570.9 thousand people have been vaccinated, including 42 thousand in a week,” Zhavoronkov said during a business Monday at the Kazan City Hall. 

48 vaccination points have been deployed in the city, including 14 mobile points: one in a medical mobile point near the city hospital No. 7, six in shopping centers, three in cultural centers, one in a fitness center, one in an entertainment center, two - offices of Sberbank. Every day on working days, 75-80 mobile teams of polyclinics go to the enterprises to carry out vaccination.
