Sobyanin called unexpected "rapid deterioration" of the situation with COVID

In Moscow, the situation with the incidence of coronavirus "is rapidly deteriorating," Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said at the presidium of the government's coordinating council to combat the spread of coronavirus infection. He called the dynamics of the incidence “quite unexpected”, since 60% of Muscovites either got sick or were vaccinated, Interfax reports.

"The number of people who fell ill with COVID, we see this from PCR tests, has grown from 3,000 to 7,000. According to preliminary data, the number of cases will be more than 9,000. This means a three-fold increase," the mayor said.
