Russian business assessed readiness for another lockdown

Russian business is potentially ready for a repeat of the lockdown: most businessmen believe they can survive short-term restrictions without loss.Entrepreneurs set up their it systems and switched to remote work

Half of entrepreneurs in RUSSIA (51.5%) are waiting for a second lockdown due to covid-19 , follows from a survey of businessmen organized by the online research service Oprosso.

At the same time, 62.3% of the respondents said that they had already prepared for such a development of events.

Almost a third (28%) of entrepreneurs believe that they will be able to work remotely without loss of business for several months. Whereas 23.5% declared their readiness to work without losses indefinitely, and 21% said that they were ready to work like this for only a few weeks. Another 9% of respondents claim that their business will be able to survive on remote work for about six months. The fact that their enterprise will not be able to work remotely without loss to the business was reported by 18% of respondents.

Speaking about what helped prepare the business for remote work, businessmen noted the lockdown experience in the spring of 2020. At the same time, almost half of the respondents (48%) reported that they left some of their employees remotely even after the restrictions were lifted. 81% of respondents believe that their business IT systems are now completely ready for full-fledged remote work.

The survey involved 1,500 respondents from the five largest cities in Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Kazan. They are all employed in the retail, service, financial and small business sectors.
