Putin passed the population census on the Gosuslugi portal. It is the first time it has been held in a hybrid format. At the same time, the online census turned out to be popular: almost 1 million Russians filled out questionnaires on the portal on the first day, Vladimir Putin reported in Rosstat

President Vladimir Putin took part in the All-Russian population census using the Gosuslugi portal, according to the Kremlin website.

The President noted that the census is "not a formal matter." Based on its data, "the state will be able to make more accurate, and therefore more effective decisions in the field of economic development, in social areas such as healthcare, education, demography," he said.

With the help of the Gosuslugi portal, Putin also voted in the elections to the State Duma in September.
