Moscow is waiting until the morning from Kyiv for a response on Russia's proposals for the operation of humanitarian corridors in Mariupol, the withdrawal of armed formations and civilians, the introduction of a regime of silence, said Mikhail Mizintsev, HEAD of the Russian National Defense Control Center.

“We insist on an official written response from the Ukrainian side before five in the morning tomorrow, that is, March 21, to all the listed purely humane proposals of the Russian Federation in the name of saving Mariupol residents and the city’s infrastructure,” Mizintsev said.

The Ministry of Defense proposed from 9:00 (Moscow time) to establish a connection for the exchange of information between the Russian and Ukrainian sides; from 9:30 in the morning, both sides declare a silence regime; from 10:00 to 12:00 to organize the withdrawal of the Ukrainian military and "foreign mercenaries" without weapons from the city; from 12:00 to begin the passage of humanitarian convoys from the Russian and Ukrainian sides and the evacuation of residents of Mariupol.

In front of the columns, as Mizintsev pointed out, sapper units of the armed forces of RUSSIA and the Donetsk People's Republic will go to ensure "continuous demining of routes." To accompany the columns, the Russian side plans to invite representatives of the UN, the OSCE, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations.
