At the same time, the adoption of technologies designed to help solve countless economic and social problems is accelerating. These trends are bringing about fundamental changes in the way we work. According to McKinsey's global survey, CFOs are actively involved in how businesses adapt to these changes, especially in areas where finance intersects with digitalization.

CFOs change focus

During the difficult period of the pandemic, the focus of the work of CFOs has shifted from long-term functions (strategic leadership, organizational transformation and development of financial skills) towards crisis management.

However, the survey results also suggest that as more industries and countries begin to recover from the pandemic, new opportunities are opening up for CFOs and their companies.
