Don became the second in the Southern Federal District in terms of the number of deaths from COVID-19

In the Rostov region in July 2021, 720 deaths from coronavirus were registered. According to this indicator, the Don region took the second place among the regions of the Southern Federal District after the Krasnodar Territory, where 800 such cases were recorded at the end of the month. This follows from the data published by Rosstat.

At the same time, as follows from the published information, in the Rostov region with a 100% probability death from COVID-19 was confirmed in 711 cases, in the Kuban this number was lower - 628. In the Don region, in 9 cases, coronavirus is a "possible cause", and in Krasnodar Territory - 172.

Recall that the highest death rate from COVID-19 in the Southern Federal District has already been recorded several times on the Don.

As RBC Rostov reported, as of August 30, the number of people who recovered from covid in the Rostov region exceeded 107 thousand people. Over the past day, 28 patients with coronavirus died on the Don.
