The number of new cases of COVID in Moscow almost doubled

Over the past day, 5,720 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been detected in Moscow, according to the website of the operational headquarters. This is almost twice as many as the day before - 2765 cases.

295 people with covid-19 were hospitalized per day in the capital, 12 people died. 4465 infected people recovered.

In general, 14,638 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in RUSSIA over the past day (the day before it was 9560, the day before - 10824, and on July 31 - 12498). 2038 people were hospitalized, 43 died. 10266 recovered.

In Russia, there have been five waves of growth in the incidence of coronavirus. The latter began after the first ten days of January and peaked in February (on the 19th, a record of 203.9 thousand new cases of COVID-19 per day was registered), after which it began to decline. From the second half of June, the daily increase fluctuated around 3 thousand, but a month later it began to grow again.

At the same time, in early July, when the number of new cases had not yet begun to rise, Rospotrebnadzor lifted all existing covid restrictions in the country, including a mask regime and a ban on the operation of cafes and restaurants at night, which remained in a number of regions. The department noted that if the situation worsens, measures can be returned.

In the meantime, against the backdrop of a new possible rise in the incidence, Rospotrebnadzor recommended not to forget about washing hands, regular ventilation of premises, and also advised vulnerable categories of citizens to wear masks in public places.
