This year, the solemn parade dedicated to Victory Day, as well as the procession of the Immortal Regiment, will be held offline in Perm. This was reported by the press service of the regional government of the region.

The plan for celebrating the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was discussed on March 22 at a meeting of the regional organizing committee chaired by Governor Dmitry Makhonin.

“1.5 months remain until Victory Day, and we need to prepare as much as possible for the celebration of the great date. By tradition, the passage of the troops of the Perm garrison will be on October Square. Let me remind you that in 2020, due to the pandemic, we were forced to abandon their holding, last year the parade took place without the participation of spectators. This year, the epidemiological situation allows us to plan events in the traditional format. In addition, I believe that youth should be actively involved in all the events that will take place as part of the Victory Day. The younger generation should know at what cost our ancestors won the Victory, respect and appreciate this feat,” said Dmitry Makhonin.
