The work of the agro-industrial complex of the Tarnoga district was evaluated by the Deputy Governor of the Vologda region Mikhail Glazkov

The Okrug has strong farms with positive results and high potential for further development. The number of cows in agricultural organizations is almost 2.5 thousand (+2.5% by 2021). Gross milk production is 17,717 tons (+4.4%) The productivity level of cows in agricultural organizations of the Tarnoga district for 2022 amounted to 7,351 kg.
The first point of the visit was the SPK "Zaboriye" - the largest agricultural enterprise in the district, which makes the main contribution to the district indicators. The enterprise specializes in the production of milk, grain and feed necessary for animal husbandry. The farm has an area of ​​agricultural land of 1621 hectares, the entire area of ​​agricultural land is occupied by arable land, 1010 heads of cattle, including 360 heads of dairy herd cows. To strengthen the quality control of the production of raw milk, the enterprise recently purchased laboratory equipment for the analysis of milk in terms of physical and chemical indicators.
In 2022, the farm produced 3.8 thousand tons of milk (+1.4% compared to 2021), the productivity of the dairy herd is 10,581 kg of milk per 1 cow (+145 kg, or +1.4% compared to 2021, 26.8% higher than the regional average, in the region - 8345 kg). In terms of productivity, the farm ranks seventh in the top ten for this indicator.
Mikhail Glazkov also visited two more agricultural organizations: SPK "Romashevsky" and SPK (collective farm) named after Lenin. In these farms, positive dynamics was also noted at the end of last year.
SPK "Romashevsky" produced 2.2 thousand tons of milk, the productivity of the dairy herd is 8124 kg of milk per 1 cow. The enterprise works stably, pays special attention to the maintenance of animals, working conditions of workers, this spring it is completing a project for the reconstruction of a barn for 200 heads, investments in which amounted to about 38 million rubles.
SPK (collective farm) named after Lenin produced 2.75 thousand tons of milk, the productivity of the dairy herd is 7847 kg of milk per 1 cow.
All raw milk produced by the enterprises is sold at JSC Tarnogsky Butter Plant, which has been operating since 1935 and is one of the leading milk processing enterprises in the Vologda Region.
The result of the trip was a meeting with the leaders of the agro-industrial complex of the Tarnoga district. The results for 2022 have been summed up, plans for the development of the industry for 2023 have been outlined, and the main trends in the dairy market in the region and the Russian Federation as a whole have been announced. Also, the main measures of state support, which are actively used by Tarnog farms, were discussed with the agrarians of the district. In 2022, about 94.6 million rubles were allocated from the federal and regional budgets. In 2023, 30.7 million rubles have already been subsidized for the development of agriculture and the increase in agricultural production in the district.
“In the context of sanctions pressure and difficult market relations, in order not to slow down the pace of dynamically developing agriculture, to stabilize the situation in time, feedback from recipients of subsidies is extremely important, such direct communication contributes to prompt decision-making by the Government of the region,” Mikhail Glazkov summed up.
