March 30, Vitebsk region. Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, visited the training and practical center for MILK production "Kalinovo" of the Mazolovogaz agricultural enterprise and saw where university students and students of agricultural and veterinary specializations work out practical skills, BelTA has learned.
"Mazolovogaz" is a high-tech agricultural enterprise, which is not immediately mistaken for a farm because of the well-groomed appearance and cleanliness of the surrounding area. There are three free-range livestock rooms. The robotic farm works almost by itself, with minimal human intervention: the HEAD of the complex selects the ration for each cow daily on the computer, transfers the data to the tablet to the machine operator, who is already working according to the finished scheme and with exactly the specified parameters. If during the day it is necessary to adjust the amount of feed, then all changes are made promptly to a single system and all employees of the complex receive a notification. Thus, more than 800 heads of cattle are kept on the territory of the complex.
The halls for cows are spacious, the rest area is separated from the feeding area by a low rubber rim so as not to injure the hooves. The mobile feeder passes through the center of the hall and distributes the required amount of feed. In summer, the ventilation system works for airflow, in winter - for heat supply. In the heat, the irrigation system is turned on, which creates a coolness over the feeding area so that the cow eats longer and gives more milk. When the milking time comes, the cow enters the platform herself, where the hoof washing is switched on, the milking machine is connected to the udder and performs its task, and with minimal water and electricity consumption. With this technique, the animals become smart too: a line of cows line up to the milking robot, which patiently wait for the box to be free and the equipment to take on the next one.
This is the picture of the farm, not of the future, but of the present, that the potential personnel of the enterprise see. Mazolovogaz opened 11 branches of departments of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine (VGAVM). At the agricultural enterprise, students and students master almost the entire range of disciplines - from therapy to surgery and agronomy. The teaching staff of the VGAVM closely cooperates with specialists both in Kalinovo and in other branches of Mazolovogaz. Feed and feed additives, diet development, treatment and prevention of animal diseases are just some of the areas in which experienced teachers advise farmers.
Future veterinarians, livestock specialists, agronomists also see the company's concern for personnel: for specialists and their families, they provide comfortable houses that the company builds at its own expense.
“Everything is done here as it should ideally be: a decent job, salary, housing. This is probably the best career guidance when students are brought here. We still have to work out the issue of staff retention so that young specialists can not only live close to work, but also had the opportunity to go to the city, visit the theater, have a cultural and active rest, take the children to kindergarten and school.Everything should be in the complex, not only a high salary. There are already several such points in the Vitebsk region, and we will try to extend this experience to the entire agro-industrial complex of the region," said Alexander Subbotin.
