June 15, Minsk. Agricultural production in Belarus in farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farmer) farms, households) in January-May amounted to Br5.9 billion, or 99.7% in comparable prices compared to the same period in 2020, BelTA informs. .

Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br5.7 billion, or 100.1% in comparable prices compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Farms of all categories received 753 thousand tons of livestock and poultry in live weight, 3207.2 thousand tons of milk, 1422 million eggs. Agricultural organizations account for 96.4% of livestock and poultry production in live weight, 97.6% of milk and 87.4% of eggs.

As of June 1, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.5 million.
