April 21, Kalinkovichi. How the agro-industrial complex of the Gomel region is being modernized, how to become a sought-after specialist, which university diploma can help you become a governor in the future - these and many other questions were asked on April 21 by schoolchildren of the Kalinkovichi district in an open dialogue with the chairman of the Gomel regional executive committee Ivan Krupko. The meeting was held at the Kalinkovichi State College of Land Reclamation, BelTA has learned.

The conversation included, among other things, students of agricultural classes - the future replenishment of agricultural organizations in the region, as well as the leadership of the main department of education of the regional executive committee, Kalinkovichi district, heads of agricultural organizations. The main aspects of the Address of the President to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly were discussed at the dialogue platform. The participants noted the key theses of the Address, the guys expressed their vision of patriotism, a socially oriented state, Belarusian education and other topics.

In the dialogue, much attention was paid to the issues of training personnel for the agro-industrial complex and the development of the agricultural sector. "The state creates all the conditions for you to get a decent education, deep knowledge and come to your workplace savvy," Ivan Krupko addressed the schoolchildren.

He stressed that time, of course, does not stand still and it is necessary to constantly improve and strengthen the material base on which future specialists are trained. "The heads of specialized educational institutions should do everything to prepare people whose knowledge will be very useful for a particular enterprise, the country as a whole. This is one of the most important tasks. Some of the graduates will work on a tractor, someone will manage a field team, someone "someone will manage the economy, someone will replace the chairman of the district executive committee, the regional executive committee. That is, today's youth will manage in the future," the HEAD of the region said.

In continuation of the topic, a question from the audience - which university in the country do you need to graduate in order to become a governor in the future? Ivan Krupko drew attention to the fact that practice shows that people who have received different professions can take the post of head of the region. "And engineering specialties, and medicine, and economics, and veterinary medicine, and animal science - the palette is different. The key is competence in one's profession, and then constant self-education, advanced training, study, self-development are needed. And most importantly - life, civic activity, and already from school years. When you are active, you gradually gain experience. To manage the region, you need versatile knowledge," Ivan Krupko answered.

The governor urged schoolchildren not to put off their plans for later. "This is especially true of knowledge. The school provides a serious foundation. Together with the baggage of knowledge subsequently acquired at a university, college, it will allow you to reach certain peaks in any profession. If you get the deepest knowledge, go through good practice already during your studies, you will a sought-after specialist," he admonished the schoolchildren.

The guys were also interested in how the modernization of agriculture in the region is going. The chairman of the regional executive committee noted: processing has gone a little ahead - MEAT processing plants, dairies, where virtually everything is automated and manual labor is minimized. “This allows us to improve the quality of products, as well as reduce costs,” the head of the region specified. “But the task of the entire agro-industrial complex is not just to gradually modernize, but literally to run. It is necessary to introduce new technologies and make them give results.”

Ivan Krupko also drew attention to the fact that more and more smart machines appear in agriculture - both in crop production and in animal husbandry. "Without technology, further competition and development is simply impossible," he said.

The guys raised questions about what benefits are provided for graduates of agricultural universities, what criteria should be used to choose a future profession, whether there is a need to open an agricultural university in the Gomel region and many others.

The governor also got acquainted today with the work of the Competence Center for Modern Technologies in Agriculture and Land Reclamation, which operates on the basis of the college. Here, on the simulators of modern agricultural machinery, they work out the skills of sowing, plowing, fertilizing, harvesting and many other types of work, comprehend the intricacies of point farming and study the structure of the units in detail. At the same time, not only guys from the college of melioration are engaged in the center, but also other institutions, including schools.
