Ark Packaging Solutions became the first company from India accredited to participate in trading on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. Thus, at present, residents of 70 countries work on the exchange floor. The last time the geography of exchange trading expanded was in December 2021, when the first company from Pakistan came to BUCE. The BUCE press service notes that the exchange's client base has not grown so actively for about 10 years.
"In total, more than five and a half thousand foreign companies are accredited on our site. At the end of 2021, Lithuania, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Russia , Poland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Slovakia and China were among the ten largest markets for Belarusian goods . The EU mainly sawn timber, fuel pellets, rapeseed oil and sugar beet processing products were supplied ., butter, cheeses and oilseed products. In turn, Chinese companies actively purchased lumber, rapeseed oil and sugar. This year, of course, we look forward to further expanding the geography of exchange trading. This will be facilitated by the growing authority of the exchange as an international trading platform. Last year alone, we accredited companies from 5 new countries: Brazil, Gibraltar, Pakistan, South Korea and Japan. The arrival of the first company from India on the exchange is the result of work carried out in 2021 to attract companies from the Southeast Asian region to trading. The strategic task is to diversify the export of domestic products as much as possible, primarily at the expense of the far arc countries," the BUCE press service commented.
