June 16, Gomel. Tours of the Brest Academic Drama Theater named after the Lenin Komsomol of Belarus will be held on June 17-18 on the stage of the Gomel Regional Drama Theater. The Brest troupe will show two comedies and a fairy tale for children, Vladimir Stupinsky, press secretary of the Gomel Regional Drama Theater, told BelTA.

So, on June 17, the Gomel audience will see Bertolt Brecht's comedy "Petty Bourgeois Wedding". “Frank social satire in this comedy is combined with the destruction of the “fourth wall.” Picking up the sarcastic tone of the playwright, director Igor Kazakov portrayed the solemn feast in the performance in a deliberately grotesque manner with elements of clowning. And through this mockery, one can clearly see the longing for sincerity, which in modern society so lacking," they said in the theater.

The production designer of the performance is Mikhail Lashitsky, the plastic director is Roman Kaganovich, the composer is Leonid Pavlenok. The performance starts at 19.00.

At the same time, on June 18, another performance of the Brest guests will begin on the stage of the regional drama theater - a comedy in retro style "The Elder Son" by Alexander Vampilov. According to the plot, student Busygin, having missed the train, together with his friend Silva, gets involved in an adventure - he deceives the ingenuous Sarafanov and his children, pretending to be an illegitimate son and half-brother. But cheerful deception gradually ceases to be a game. Sarafanov's sincere joy, his blissful strangeness, the beauty of his daughter Nina, family hardships - all together awakens in Busygin conscience and sympathy for these glorious people. But how now to admit to deceit ?!

The production director of the performance is Timofey Ilyevsky, the designer is Nikolai Poltoraka, the costume designer is Tatyana Korvyakova, the musical arrangement is Alexander Panasyuk.

For young Gomel theater-goers, the Brest troupe prepared the fairy tale "How Koschei got married" by Yuri Boganov. It will be shown on June 17 and 18. Start at 10.30.

Vladimir Stupinsky added that on the same days, during the exchange tour, the troupe of the Gomel Regional Drama Theater will perform on the Brest stage and present performances "Potassium cyanide ... With or without milk?" Juan José Alonso Millana, "Inventive Lover" Lope de Vega, as well as the fairy tale "Save Flashing Lights!" Andrey Kruzhnov.
