In the Kaluga region, the poultry population was destroyed in the foci of highly pathogenic avian influenza. In the threatened zones on the territory of the Maloyaroslavetsky district, measures to remove the bird continue. Earlier, 12 foci of bird flu were detected in the region. This was announced on social networks by the chairman of the veterinary committee under the regional government Sergey Sokolovsky.

“Specialists of the State Veterinary Service organized veterinary and sanitary work, including final disinfection, followed by sampling of swabs from the treated surfaces for laboratory testing on the quality of the disinfection. On August 15, 17 and 19, after 21 days after carrying out all activities in outbreaks and threatened zones, the veterinary committee will send documents to the governor to cancel quarantine on outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Sukhinichsky, Lyudinovsky, Dzerzhinsky, Borovsky, Zhukovsky, Babyninsky districts and in the city of Kaluga,” said Sergey Sokolovsky

As REGNUM reported, during the period of the bird flu epidemic, special attention was paid to large poultry farms in the Kaluga region, where special checkpoint services were introduced, disinfection measures were strengthened, and employees of enterprises were transferred to a rotational work schedule.
