The meeting of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with the delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by the chairman of the concern "Belneftekhim" Valery Kazakevich was held in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. “Kazan can be called one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We are simply delighted with your city and we feel at home here,” Valery Kazakevich shared his impressions of the capital of Tatarstan. According to him, Belarus and Tatarstan are similar - the republics have a powerful industry and developed petrochemical complexes, cooperation in these sectors will develop.

For example, Tatneft will become the third Russian company that will open its filling stations in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, said Valery Kazakevich during a working meeting at the Ministry of Industry and Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. Today, only Lukoil and Slavneft have gas station networks. 14 filling stations have already been identified, and a total of 30 Tatneft filling stations are planned to be built on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Moreover, as the distinguished guest emphasized, convenient locations have been selected for Tatarstan petrol stations. In turn, the Belarusians hope to increase the capacity for the joint production of agricultural machinery: Belarusian tractors and combines are assembled in Tatarstan using engines manufactured at KAMAZ. As part of the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Belarus, a dealer center-shop of refrigerators "Atlant" was opened in Kazan, it is characteristic that similar products of local manufacturers - Zelenodolsk PZiS - are also presented here. And in Kazan, a group of veterans of the Great Patriotic War who took part in the liberation of Belarus were awarded with a jubilee medal “65 years of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders”.

Practical joint steps in the economic field were the result of the Intergovernmental Protocol of Measures for the Development of Cooperation for 2009-2010 signed on January 21 this year between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The main Belarusian exports are tractors, cord materials for machines, parts and accessories for cars and tractors, air pumps, twisted wire, cables, ropes made of ferrous metals, tires, agricultural and road construction equipment.
