Last week, as part of the cooperation between the agro-industrial holding Agrocom Group and the Don State Technical University (DSTU), the first three-day hackathon Projecton Tavr 2021 was organized in the industrial coworking GARAZH. The company announced the event on its FACEBOOK page.
From Wednesday to Friday, March 24-26, in a unique design laboratory, specialists from a MEAT processing enterprise evaluated student projects. Quite real business tasks were set before their authors.
For example, one group developed a device for removing the shell from raw smoked sausage, another improved the design of a transport trolley, a third worked on mechanization and automation of the process of packing sausages into a package. Based on the results of the hackathon, the experts chose the best solutions, and the winner will be able to independently implement their project in production.
DIRECTOR of the Tavr group of companies Alexander Remet said that since 2012 the plant has been supporting the formation of sites for the implementation of technical projects on the basis of the flagship university in Rostov-on-Don. The company is interested in employing talented graduates: there is a need for technical staff and it specialists to further automate the production process. Fortunately, the current level of technological equipment allows us to formulate tasks that are interesting for students and implement best practices.
To immerse the hackathon participants in the production atmosphere, the project teams were invited to the plant, where they were shown a new semi-finished products workshop, as well as the processes of deboning, cooling meat and packaging finished products.
In the fall of 2020, the Tavr group of companies participated in the DSTU project Projectorium Garage Lab. Engineering. Then the student project “Sausage Packer” was presented at the competition of inventors “Don Assembly”.
