Meat production in the Stavropol Territory for 9 months decreased by almost 6% against the backdrop of a reduction in livestock

The production of livestock and poultry meat for slaughter in live weight in the Stavropol Territory in January-September 2021 decreased by 5.7% compared to the same period in 2020 and amounted to 391.5 thousand tons, follows from the data posted on the Severo- Kavkazstat.

So, according to the statistical service, for 9 months of this year, the number of poultry in the Stavropol Territory decreased by 7.1%, cattle - by 3.5%, pigs - by 2.8%, sheep and goats - by 7.8% .

Egg production in the region in January-September 2021 amounted to 650 million pieces, which is 4.7% more than in the same period in 2020.
