After accusations of polluting the Tsarevka River, Rusagro-Tambov may receive a number of lawsuits

This became known during a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on compliance with environmental safety in the Tambov region. It was attended by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the region Alla Albegova, the head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor Tatyana Malova, representatives of the Tambov companies Rusagro, the prosecutor's office , etc. They discussed environmental safety in the Znamensky and Zherdevsky municipal districts. It is here that untreated wastewater enters the water bodies of the Tsarevka and Savala rivers.

As a result, it was decided to organize inspections on the facts of pollution, consider the issue of going to court with claims for compensation for damage caused to the environment, and subsequently forward the materials of these inspections to law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, the governor of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov, instructed the regional prosecutor’s office to conduct an investigation into the pollution of the Tsarevka River, which could have been caused by the Rusagro Group of Companies.

It is worth adding that the prosecutor’s office regularly discovers environmental violations in the work of Rusagro in the Tambov region. Thus, one of the group’s enterprises stored defective beets in violation of sanitary standards, another branch did not follow the law when declaring transactions with wood. Rosprirodnadzor, which is involved as a third party in the legal dispute, has also repeatedly drawn attention to the work of the plants.
