The Package service from X5 conducted a study and found out how much Russians are willing to spend on dinner on the occasion of February 14, what they will buy and what they cannot imagine this day without. 54% of Russians will celebrate Valentine's Day with their significant other, 26% will share a festive dinner with their family, 15% will be in splendid isolation, and 6% will take advantage of the occasion for a warm meeting with friends. Mostly, respondents plan to order delivery of ready-made food for dinner (39%) or cook it themselves (38%). At the same time, 8% will go to a restaurant to celebrate the holiday , and 7% will have a cooking date with their partner.

A significant portion of respondents plan to spend from 1 to 3 thousand rubles on food on February 14 (31%). Almost the same number of Russians are willing to pay from 3 to 5 thousand rubles (21%) and from 5 to 7 thousand rubles (20%). 10% will spend up to 1 thousand rubles and from 7 to 10 thousand. Only 3% of Russians are ready to spend more than 10 thousand rubles on a festive dinner. Two thirds of those surveyed do not intend to save on food. 25% of respondents still want to reduce spending. Half of them will buy products on sale, and the rest will take advantage of loyalty programs and cashback.
