Belarusian President ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO described how he tasted some products in anticipation of the State Quality Mark, BELTA reports. The State Quality Mark was awarded to food products such as the Turkey
MEAT Nut Roll produced by the Dzerzhinsky Agrokombinat OJSC.
Vanilla-flavored ice cream "1962" in a waffle cone from the Kobrin Butter and
CHEESE FACTORY, whole condensed
MILK "Egorka" with
SUGAR from the Rogachev Dairy Plant, and milk chocolate "Favorite Alenka" from Kommunarka. "Have we gotten people used to turkey yet? Or not yet?" the
HEAD of state inquired. The president was informed that demand for turkey
meat is growing both in Belarus and for
EXPORT. Further expansion of production is planned.
"I tried
it at home. Today I opened this brochure that the head of the Administration prepared for me. I went to the kitchen and said, 'Let me try it.' There wasn't any," said Alexander Lukashenko. "Well, of course, I don't eat Alenka (the "Favorite Alenka" chocolate bar - BelTA note). As our refugees say, 'I've got too much weight.' Well, I figured, if I have to throw away the weight, then Alenka isn't suitable. Neither is Rogachev condensed milk. They delivered it an hour later. My little one and I ate half a chocolate bar and tried some turkey for lunch." At the Kommunarka stand, where the "Favorite Alenka" chocolate bar was on display, the President said, "Thank you, guys. Childhood, adolescence, and youth – it's all here. Don't even bother treating me. I probably haven't eaten your chocolate for six months. And today I sinned. But between us, half."
Alexander Lukashenko was told that they're not stopping with the classic "Alenka" but are expanding their recipe. They're currently producing around 15 varieties of "Alenka," including import-substituting Kinder chocolate.
"Don't stop. Make good products with your own technologists. Keep going," the head of state exhorted.
The day before the ceremony, the President also tried Kobrin ice cream: "I know what it's like. I sinned today, too, thanks to you. I ate it."
The ice cream is made according to a classic recipe. "I always insist that we revert to the recipes from the Soviet era. It's not just you," the Belarusian leader noted. "You're doing the right thing. Not all, but most of ours were better."
