Meat processing plants of Rostov region announce upcoming price increases for products

Some companies are adapting their recipes to maintain profitability, while others, while maintaining unchanged compositions, have already announced an inevitable increase in selling prices, especially for cooked and cooked-smoked sausages, where pork accounts for a significant share of the cost price.

From January to August, the cost of pork increased from 371 to 418 rubles per kilogram, and pork production decreased by 2.5% compared to last year, Rostovstat noted. At the end of summer, average retail prices for semi-smoked and cooked-smoked sausages amounted to 689 and 572 rubles per kilogram, respectively.
