“The liquidation of the cattle population in the Atninsky district in the amount of 5,500 heads is less than one percent in the Republic as a whole. And, given that we receive about 20,000 head of calves every month, I think we will restore this livestock in the near future and it will not affect the planned indicators of the Republic,” says Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan , Gelyus Bayazitov.

The latest outbreak occurred this week in the Atninsky district. They declared a quarantine there: grazing and the preparation of feed that had not undergone heat treatment were prohibited. Not only livestock, but also milk is subject to destruction . 

Bolshaya Atnya will undergo a thorough inspection - specialists will visit private farmsteads. After emptying the cowsheds, the Tukaevsky agricultural firm will have to disinfect the entire territory in several stages.
