Cherkizovo Group plans to build an oil extraction plant in the Penza region

According to the project, the plant will produce 62 thousand tons of sunflower oil, 67 thousand tons of cake, 26 thousand tons of sunflower husks and 167 tons of lecithin per year. By June 2025, it is planned to reach the design capacity of 600 tons per day. As Melnichenko clarified in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the region faces the task of processing 70% of produced agricultural raw materials, as this provides added value and growth in the gross regional product. According to Penza Media, the volume of investment in the plant will be at least 1.9 billion rubles.

That Cherkizovo is exploring the possibility of building an oil extraction plant for sunflower processing in the Penza region  to further strengthen vertical integration. The company's press service then clarified that the processed products are planned to be used for their own needs in feed production. The enterprise's capacity was estimated at 200 thousand tons per year.

Also during SPIEF, Sergei Mikhailov signed an agreement of intent to implement an investment project for the construction of eight pig-breeding fattening sites in the Tambov region with the head of the region, Maxim Egorov. Until 2028 inclusive, four sites are planned to be built in the Pervomaisky district, four in Staroyurevsky.

“The Cherkizovo Group is one of the largest investors that operates in our region and produces a large share of meat products. Let me remind you that today the Tambov region is among the top three Russian leaders in meat production. The agreement on the construction of new production facilities means an increase in meat production, new jobs, and an increase in the tax base, Egorov noted ( quoted from the regional government website). “Therefore, we will assist in every possible way in the implementation of this large-scale project.” The most comfortable conditions will be created for the investor.”  

About Cherkizovo’s plans to build four pig farms for 40 thousand heads each with a total cost of 8.5 billion rubles in the Pervomaisky district of the Tambov region. became known in February 2022. Then it was reported that the new capacities would allow the production of 45 thousand tons of meat per year. There was no talk at that time about the construction of pig farms in the Staroyurievsky district.

Also, during the SPIEF, the general director of Cherkizovo signed a cooperation agreement with the governor of the Tula region, Alexey Dyumin. The agricultural holding continues to create in the region the largest meat processing cluster in Russia in the Efremov ASEZ with an investment volume of 50 billion rubles. At the forum, an agreement was signed on the modernization of the poultry meat production complex with an investment of 1.3 billion rubles.

In addition, during the forum, the management of the Cherkizovo group discussed with the Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko the next stage of development of the Altai Broiler poultry complex. Now the enterprise produces about 80 thousand tons of meat per year, after 2025 it is planned to reach the figure of 110 thousand tons, the regional government reported.
