Cherkizovo Group appealed the court's decision in favor of the Kungursky meat processing plant.

As a reminder, in late June 2023, the Kungur Meat Processing Plant won a case brought by the Cherkizovo Group, which had sought 141.8 million rubles for trademark infringement in the production of boiled brisket. The trial court emphasized that the name "Yuzhnaya" had been used by meat processing plants in Russia for 40 years, beginning in 1985. Nevertheless, Cherkizovo continues to claim exclusive rights to the brand. The appeal will be heard on July 29 by the Seventeenth Arbitration Court of Appeal.
