November 25, MINSK. The Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation into the death of three people in a fire in the Grodno region, BelTA informs with reference to the press service of the department.

On the evening of November 24, in the agricultural town of Ozery, two men aged 63 and 55 and a 64-year-old woman came to visit their friend. The company drank alcoholic beverages. At some point, a fire started in the house. The owner of the household tried to put out the fire on his own and call for help, but could not. Arriving rescuers while extinguishing the fire found the bodies of three local residents. it is reported that the 66-year-old owner of the house was not injured.

The investigator, with the involvement of specialists from the UGKSE for the Grodno region and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, examined the scene, interviewed relatives and neighbors of the victims, and ordered forensic medical examinations. The preliminary cause of the fire is careless handling of fire while smoking.

The Grodno inter-district department of the Investigative Committee is checking this fact.
