February 15, Mogilev. A man died in a fire in the Kostyukovichi district. BelTA was informed about this by the senior inspector of the Mogilev regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Olga Nekhoroshikh.
The fire of a private residential building in the village of Moshevoe, Kostyukovichi district, occurred on the evening of February 14th. Neighbors called the Ministry of Emergency Situations - the house was on fire. Rescuers in one of the rooms with no signs of life found the owner, born in 1972. The search for the deceased was hampered by collapsed structures, high temperatures and thick smoke.
The deceased lived alone, did not work, was a disabled person of the 3rd group. As a result of the fire, the roof and property in the house were destroyed, the ceiling and walls were damaged. The cause of the incident is being established. Experts do not exclude that an unextinguished cigarette played a fatal role in the fire.
“Most often, fires caused by careless handling of fire occur in houses where people who abuse alcohol live,” Olga Nekhoroshikh comments. they were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the fire.
