It's a busy time for farmers. At the same time, they harvest crops, prepare feed and cultivate the soil for further crops. For some, summer is vacation time, and villagers work seven days a week from early morning until late at night. We are talking about the country's food security, therefore the close attention of law enforcement officers is focused on the harvesting and procurement campaign. Three times a week, monitoring groups of police officers travel from Brest to the districts to inspect farms. BELTA correspondents went on one of these raids.

In the Brest region, mobile groups began visiting districts on July 7. The raids are organized three times a week; two groups leave from the police department. They consist of four employees each - representatives of the department of law enforcement and prevention, the State Traffic Inspectorate, units for combating economic crimes and search. This time, one crew headed to the Lyakhovichi district, and BELTA correspondents went with the second to the Drogichinsky district.

“During the harvesting and procurement campaign, we must visit all farms in every district of the Brest region. Our task is to identify facts of mismanagement, lack of order on the territory of enterprises and fields, and to prevent encroachments on state property. Farm managers need to take all measures to prevent thefts of the same diesel fuel, grain crops, spare parts. We pay attention to every little detail. And we do not find fault, because even small violations can ultimately negatively affect the harvest," said Major, senior inspector of the Department of Law Enforcement and Prevention of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Evgeny Evteev.

Law enforcement officials have decided that they will inspect Alekseevichi-Agro OJSC. it was decided to go to a site in the agricultural town of Vulka. The monitoring group immediately noticed how access to the territory of the machine and tractor park was organized. The control is strict: the gates are closed behind the equipment and the barrier is lowered. Outsiders will not be allowed into the mechanical yard.

Police officers checked the integrity of the perimeter fence, the presence of lighting, and how the safety of equipment and spare parts, fuels and lubricants, and pesticides was ensured.

“The main thing for us is that traffic rules are followed, that drivers are properly admitted to work, that they are examined. During the inspection, we ensure that drivers have no signs ofALCOHOL intoxication , and the equipment was approved for participation in road traffic. If we identify cases where the equipment is without technical inspection or the driver is drunk, we suspend them,” explained Igor Gordiychuk, HEAD of the department for the operation of automated control systems of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

He studied the documents and selectively re-examined the machine operators. The device showed zeros. “All the documents are in order. However, there is no log of drivers suspended from driving. We will send an order to the farm, and they will start this log. There are no other questions,” summarized Igor Gordiychuk.

According to the chief engineer of Alekseevichi-Agro, Andrei Skripel, it is in the interests of the farm that everything is in order and safe. These aspects are constantly being improved at the enterprise. "All equipment on the farm is equipped with a fuel control system. It is issued based on the standard of work performed. Gas stations are fenced, only the tanker has the right to access them. Security guards patrol the territory every hour. Many facilities on the farm already have CCTV cameras: at MTF, warehouses, the rest is up to the workshops. I think in a month or a month and a half we’ll install it there,” added the chief engineer.

By the way, labor discipline is perhaps the most fundamental issue. Representatives of the monitoring group ensure that workers are in their places, especially for security guards. Unfortunately, there are times when an inspection suddenly arrives in the evening or at night, but the guard is not there. Naturally, it is unacceptable for a person to work drunk or drink alcohol during working hours.

The inspectors were pleased with what they saw at Alekseevichi-Agro; no violations were found. From there they went to JSC Imeninsky. BEP representatives are primarily interested in equipment and its performance.

“This is a large farm. It has several areas of activity. There is also a lot of equipment, first of all we are interested in its actual availability and performance. We take inventory lists of equipment from the accounting department - tractors, cars, combines, trailed and attached equipment - and check them. We pay attention to the conditions storage of scrap metal and spare parts. We have no particular complaints about this facility,” noted an employee for the fight against economic crimes.

However, his colleagues had some questions about Imeninsky. The violations discovered at the mechanical yard cannot be called egregious, but they spoil the overall picture of what was seen. “There are empty barrels lying around the area, the place for storing scrap metal is not fenced, the gates in the hangars and warehouses are dilapidated, the fence is fragmentarily broken. A gross violation of safety regulations is an open hatch, which can lead to serious consequences,” listed the senior inspector of the Department of Law Enforcement and Prevention of the Internal Affairs Directorate Brest Regional Executive Committee Major Evgeniy Evteev. Law enforcement officers drew the attention of the farm management to these shortcomings.

The equipment in Imeninsky is not idle, it’s all in the fields. Farmers harvest rapeseed and wheat. Following the combines, a baler quickly collects straw. Storks watch the harvest like strict inspectors. Feathered symbols of Belarus are also an integral part of the harvesting campaign.

"We finished the second mowing of grass, started harvesting grains. Winter barley was harvested, the yield was good - 54.4 c/ha. We started harvesting winter rapeseed. The harvesting percentage is still small - about 10%. We are waiting for it to dry out a little, so that there is less humidity was. At the same time, three combines are harvesting wheat, the yield is 33 c/ha. We hope that it will increase. At the same time, we are cultivating the soil, we want to sow alfalfa," its DIRECTOR Alexander Danilkovich spoke about the pressing concerns of the farm. He added that four students from the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University are helping with the harvest. They moved to the tractors of machine operators who now work on combines.

After two weeks of work by law enforcement monitoring groups, there are already results. In particular, seven cases of drunk agricultural workers being at work were identified, three of them were watchmen. More than ten people were absent from their workplaces at the time of the inspections. 240 examinations authorized by prosecutors were carried out. About 3 tons of stolen diesel fuel, approximately 3 tons of grain crops, and almost 290 liters of pesticides were seized. 55 submissions were made to farm managers to eliminate the causes and conditions conducive to the commission of offenses.
