More than 1.1 thousand traffic violations revealed in Minsk over the weekend

May 10, MINSK. Over the past weekend, more than 1.1 thousand traffic violations were registered in the capital. BelTA was told about this in the UGAI GUVD of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

“From May 7 to May 9, 109 accidents were registered in Minsk, in which three people were injured. 21 motorists were detained for driving while intoxicated , 145 were fined for speeding. 194 drivers were detained for violations of the rules for passing pedestrian crossings," the UGAI said.

The department added that 554 pedestrians violated traffic rules. 40 of them were under the influence of ALCOHOL.

In addition, inspectors stopped 97 violations of traffic rules by motorcycle drivers.

The State traffic inspectorate called on all road users to strictly comply with traffic rules and recommended to remember about road safety measures.
