The harvesting campaign in the Rostov region has passed the equator. The farms of the region harvested almost 1.7 million hectares, which is more than 52% of the total harvested area. The gross grain harvest today is almost 6 million 319 thousand tons with an average yield of almost 37.3 c/ha.

Farms of all districts of the region participate in the harvest. However, the largest areas were harvested by the farmers of the Salsky district - more than 127 thousand hectares. They are currently the leaders in the gross grain harvest - 503 thousand tons have already been harvested. The farms of the Zimovnikovsky district took the second place in terms of gross harvest. They collected 425 thousand tons of grain. Closes the top three today Zernogradsky district. 85,000 hectares have been threshed here, and today the gross harvest is 363,000 tons.

The leadership in terms of the highest yield is retained by Myasnikovsky district (52.7 c/ha), followed by Tselinsky (48.4 c/ha), Kagalnitsky (48.1 c/ha) and Neklinovsky (47.3 c/ha) districts .

“The pace of the current harvest is very high, and the main news for today is that the harvesting campaign in the Rostov region has passed the equator. More than 6 million tons have been collected, - emphasized the first deputy of the Don Governor Viktor Goncharov. - The first results are encouraging, as the yield exceeds last year's figures: 37.7 centners per hectare against 34.1 last year. The main task now is to harvest the grown crop as soon as possible and without losses, while in no case allow agricultural burning.

Simultaneously with harvesting, the farms are preparing the soil for sowing winter crops for the 2022 harvest.
