The EXPORT of regional agricultural products is carried out within the framework of the national project "International Cooperation and Export," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin .
"We are actively working to increase the volume of supplies of goods from Vologda producers to the global market , and together with agricultural enterprises, we are expanding the range of local products and the geography of exports. Since the beginning of 2025, our region has already shipped more than two thousand tons of food and processed products. The amount amounted to over 3.4 million US dollars - this is 7.8% of the target indicator set for the Vologda region for the current year," said Vologda Oblast Governor Georgy Filimonov.
The HEAD of the region added that Vologda products were sent to 15 countries near and far: CHINA , Mongolia, Senegal, Georgia, Uzbekistan , Abkhazia, Azerbaijan , Latvia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, and the Maldives. Nine local enterprises exportedIce cream , black caviar, baby food , confectionery, breakfast cereals, animal and vegetable fats, fireweed, fishmeal, and nuts.
"I'd like to note that last year, the Vologda Oblast exported over 23,000 tons of agricultural products. Our region's main partners were China, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan . it is important for us to continue strengthening the region's position: making local products accessible to residents of even more countries and promoting Vologda brands," noted Georgy Filimonov.
According to Georgy Filimonov, in 2024 , the Vologda Oblast actively developed new markets: the region resumed exporting the famous Vologda ice cream to the People's Republic of China and shipped this product for the first time to Senegal and Mongolia. Furthermore, shipments of chocolate confectionery to Vietnam and sturgeon caviar to Jordan and the Maldives began.
"The agro-industrial complex is one of the foundations of our region, and its development is under my close attention. As a reminder, we have maintained 43 support measures for Vologda farmers in 2025, with 4.1 billion rubles allocated for these purposes. This will help attract investment to the industry and create new growth opportunities for agricultural producers," added Georgy Filimonov.
