The pace of sowing work in the farms of Transbaikalia is 6% ahead of the level of 2022

The farms of all 25 municipalities of Transbaikalia, where crop production is carried out, have begun a sowing campaign. This was announced by the deputy head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture Alexander Tyukavkin.
“Seasonal field work is currently being carried out in 25 districts of the region. According to operational data, spring crops were sown on an area of ​​51.4 thousand hectares, which is 6% higher than last year's level on this date. In total, at the moment, agrarians have fulfilled the planned plans for sowing crops by 25%,” said the Deputy Minister.
Cereals are currently sown on an area of ​​16 thousand hectares. Flax and rapeseed were sown on an area of ​​9.2 and 8.6 thousand hectares, sunflower - on 3.5 thousand hectares.
The largest sown area is noted in the Chernyshevsky district, where agricultural enterprises have carried out work on 19.7 thousand hectares. In the Priargunsky District, farms sowed 6.7 thousand hectares of farmland, in the Aleksandrovo-Zavodsky District - 6.1 thousand hectares.
Also, agricultural organizations of Transbaikalia continue planting potatoes and vegetables. Potatoes are planted on an area of ​​263 hectares, vegetables - on 36 hectares.
