Horticulture in Kyrgyzstan. Business for growing persimmons and pomegranates. How to quickly peel a pomegranate.

pionerprodukt.by continues to publish videos from the AgroExpedition "Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan". In this video, we will talk with Manas Samatov about growing pomegranate, and also find out if it is possible to build a successful business on this. And we will share the secret of how to properly cut the guarantor so that the cores do not fall out.
The Aravan region of Kyrgyzstan is one of the few regions that is climatically suitable for growing pomegranates, so this type of gardening has been practiced here for centuries. Most of the farms for this use traditional ways of growing with the help of ditches, as their ancestors did. According to Manas Parmanovich, farmers are open to new scientific ideas and strive to introduce them into the technological process, thereby raising production to a higher level. We are also ready to use breeding methods to develop new varieties of pomegranates.
Pressurized drip irrigation is now widely used in Kyrgyzstan, which makes it possible to develop large agricultural areas located above the canal, which have been empty for centuries. Using this method allows solving a wide range of issues, including social ones, such as creating new jobs and increasing the welfare of the population.
According to Manas Parmanovich, farmers use only manure to fertilize the pomegranate orchard, without the use of any chemicals. Small Japanese or Chinese tractors are used for weed control.
On the garden plot there is a classic Central Asian trestle bed, on which a traditional table is laid - dastarkhan: grapes, persimmon and, of course, pomegranate. At the same time, few people know how to properly open a pomegranate fruit. First, you need to carefully cut off the cap of the pomegranate fruit with a knife. After that, determine by the shape of the fetus where the sectors are located, with nuclei and cut along the protrusions. Then gently separate the cut slices so that the fruit resembles a flower. With this method, the pomegranate kernels do not fall out, but are in slices.
I would like to note that the color of the pomegranate kernels does not affect its taste in any way. There is a big misconception that the brighter the kernels, the sweeter the pomegranate. This is not entirely true; very often the opposite is true. Therefore, when choosing a pomegranate in the market, only by tasting can you determine whether the fruit is sweet.
