A new investment project is being implemented at a poultry farm in the Saratov region

After a long downtime, the Balakovo Poultry Farm began to operate with a new capacity in the region, where an investment project for the production of hatching eggs is being implemented. The total investment will be more than 300 million rubles.
The investor plans to repair and modernize six poultry houses.
In 2021, repairs were made and equipment for floor rearing of day-old chicks was installed in two poultry houses. The volume of investments amounted to 86 million rubles. This year, three poultry houses have been repaired, equipment for keeping adult birds has been purchased.
Not so long ago, more than 18,000 heads of day-old parent chicks were delivered to the Balakovo poultry farm, the second batch will be delivered by September 30, and the third batch is planned to be delivered in the first ten days of October. The total livestock will be more than 60,000 heads.
The resulting egg will be sent to an incubator located in St. Petersburg .
“The project implementation period is until 2024. In the future - the construction of an incubator and a second-order stud farm. It is important that the modernization of the Balakovo Poultry Farm also solves social issues: about 20 new jobs will be created here,” says Roman Kovalsky, head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
