Soil acidity affects the growth and development of crops. Agricultural producers divide the soil into alkaline, neutral and acidic.
Acidic soil is the least favorable for agricultural work - in such areas, you can notice a slowdown in crop growth due to poor absorption of nutrients, as well as a large number of weeds. Periodic liming of the soil allows you to even out the acid-base balance. The soil liming experiment is being carried out in the Krapivinsky municipal district.
“Krapivinsky district has 70 thousand hectares of arable land in agricultural circulation, of which about 14 thousand are acidic, and there is an urgent need for liming. The Zolotaya Niva enterprise effectively applies new technologies, plant protection products, and seeds. And now this is the first enterprise that has started liming in our district,” said Andrei Revanchenko, deputy HEAD of the district for agriculture.
The Kuzbass company LLC TTK "Siberian Alliance" has a certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation for the production and sale of limestone FLOUR. They provided the farm-experimenter free of charge with grade C limestone flour and a spreader, introduced an ameliorant on 30 hectares of the field out of 46 possible. In autumn, winter wheat will be sown here, and already next year it will be possible to compare the yield from cultivated and uncultivated soil in order to evaluate the effect of liming.
