PIONERPRODUKT.by continues to publish videos from the AgroExpedition in the Kaluga region. In this video, we will get acquainted with one of the flagships of agriculture in the region - Moloko Group. In this video, we will look at the conditions of keeping various dairy breeds of cattle, as well as preventive hoof trimming.
The company has organized a full cycle of MILK processing, from which various types of soft and hard cheeses are brewed, and breeding animals are also sold.
The farm is a breeding farm for three breeds of dairy cattle: red Danish, red Swedish and Jersey. The total livestock at the time of filming is 2300 heads, of which 900 are dairy. The average daily milk yield on the farm is 23 tons of milk. Milking is carried out in one compartment with the help of a robot, in the second compartment a herringbone milking parlor is installed.
The housing for cows is equipped with a light box on the ceiling and large windows to save energy. The ventilation system, in addition to air ducts, also has additional fans that turn on during the hot summer period.
Manure removal is carried out using a delta scraper that runs every half an hour and pushes the manure into a pipe, through which, as a result, it enters the lagoon, where it rots and is used as fertilizer in their own fields.
In order for the cows to feel comfortable and therefore give more milk, the pens are equipped with comb brushes. According to some reports, the presence of a comb increases the milk yield of a cow by half a liter per day.
Cows are fed for the entire period with mono-feed, which is also produced at enterprises and basically consists of silage and haylage with the addition of wheat and corn.
Each cow has a special device called a pedometer attached to its leg. It serves as a kind of passport for the cow, according to which the milking robot reads various information about the state of the cow and its individual indicators. As soon as the cow comes into heat, she is artificially inseminated. Two months before calving, she is transferred to the maternity ward, where she subsequently calves.
The total area of fields is about 4,000 hectares, half of which is owned.
