In Udmurtia, the autumn sowing campaign has entered the final stage. In contrast to the summer field season, it took place under favorable agro-climatic conditions - according to preliminary data, agricultural enterprises of the republic have significantly expanded the winter wedge.

The optimal agrotechnical terms for sowing winter crops in the northern zone of the republic have ended. Farms in the southern regions still have time to complete sowing work in the best agricultural terms until September 20.
According to operational data as of September 13, 6 out of 25 rural areas continue to sow winter crops in the republic - Kiyasovsky (the volume of work performed today is 68%), Yakshur-Bodyinsky (77%), Karakulinsky (88%), Seltinsky (93% ), Alnashsky and Votkinsky (97%). The rest have already been eliminated, and with a significant overfulfillment of planned indicators. Thus, today the sowing area has already reached 68.5 thousand hectares against the plan of 59.3 thousand hectares, which is 15% or 9.1 thousand hectares more than planned.

The maximum winter areas for the harvest of 2022 were occupied in the Sarapulsky district - 7.8 thousand hectares, also Uvinsky - 5.9 thousand hectares and Mozhginsky - 5.6 thousand hectares. And in the Sharkansky district, Istok LLC for the first time provided their crops with insurance protection. Winter wheat was insured here on an area of 250 hectares. In general, it is expected that the number of concluded winter crop insurance contracts with state support may still grow.
