UK bans space technology exports to Russia

The UK has imposed a ban on the export of aviation and space products and technologies to Russia due to a special operation in Ukraine. This is stated in the message of the British Foreign Office.

Now, for the flight or landing of any Russian aircraft in the country, criminal liability has been introduced. “The new powers will also allow the government to remove aircraft belonging to the specified Russian individuals and legal entities from the UK aircraft register,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Commenting on the new British sanctions, the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, told RBC that the state corporation had not purchased any space products in the UK before the introduction of these sanctions.
